Events.

It all started at the 2002 Bonnaroo music festival… and spread from there. TN to CO to NC back to CO to MT - I have enjoyed showcasing my art through vending and fashion shows all over, but the best part has always been the memories and meeting SEW many wonderful folks!

Pallet Fest

October 11-12, 2014 (Vending & Fashion Show!)

Sculpture Park, Denver CO

My youngest son is less than 2 months old, but that’s not stopping me from creating one-of-a-kind upcycled clothing for the 1st Annual “Pallet Fest”! I’ll also have a season of fashions to showcase in the fashion show along with my first upcycled gown ~ “Jean Jeanie”.

The Costume Drama Fashion Show

July 7, 2013 ~ 6:30pm

Asheville Community Theater, Asheville NC

My last fashion show in Asheville before we move to Colorado! I designed a dress made out of DVD slip covers… all of which have been lost or stolen from the amazing local DVD store I work for (Orbit DVD in West Asheville). The bodice is made from the spines of the covers, woven together. The front of the dress show the front of the covers in rainbow order… the back of the dress shows the back covers. I used an old VHS tape for the “gloves”, and got creative with a smashed DVD and more spine art for the “fascinator” hair accessory.

The Tangerine Ball:
Part Two ~ The Neo-Classical Competition

Saturday, August 25, 2012 ~ 6pm-10pm

The Orange Peel, downtown Asheville NC

WE WON BEST IN SHOW!! I made a total of 3 dresses for this year’s annual color ball and all 3 won! I had to put together a very talented team for this competition… hair, make-up, design and jewelry.

The Tangerine Ball:
Part One ~ The Tangerine Tango Fashion Show

Thursday, August 23, 2012 ~ 6pm-10pm

The Altamont Theater, downtown Asheville NC

I WON BEST IN SHOW!! I showcased 2 one-of-a-kind upcycled dresses in this fun fashion show.

Project Runway Asheville ~ A Fashion Revival

The Fine Arts Theater, downtown Asheville NC

What a funky little fashion show this was! My upcycled patchwork dress WON “Best in Show ~ Only in Asheville”!

Get Lucky Fashion Fest

The Circle is awesome! Shannon put on this amazing fashion show! SEW much fun! This was the showcase for my collection “Begin Again” - all outfits are upcycled or made from recycled materials!

The Pre-Moog Fashion Show

Thursday, October 27, 2011

The One Stop, Downtown Asheville NC

Another fun Fashion Show organized by Shannon from the Circle… this was the kick-off to the first Moog Fest. This was also the showcase of my favorite collection so far ~ “A Bittersweet Dream”, inspired by the wonderful words of Tom Robbins. All outfits are upcycled or made from recycled materials. I also made light-up LED hair flowers just for the show!

Spring Equinox Fashion Show

March 20, 2011

This is my very first fashion show! It will showcase my first clothing collection (all upcycled), “This Must be the Place”. Thank you, Shannon!

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival

Thursday, June 19-Sunday June 22, 2003

Town Park, Telluride CO

What an amazing time! This was my first official vending experience. “Common Threads” was a collective all the fun hippie crafts from artists across the country. Fara was amazing at collecting and cataloging all this stuff and in the summer of 2003, she took it on the road. I met up with them as they passed through Colorado, and we had an amazing time vending at this iconic music festival.

2002 Bonnaroo Music Festival

June 21-June 23, 2002

Manchester, TN

I was there, but I didn’t vend? But, my one-of-a-kind patchwork clothing was available in “Common Threads” booth (a collective all the fun hippie crafts from artists across the country). Wow. SEW much fun!
